So someone asked today when another study session would be, this suggestion has nothing to do with that but it got me thinking. Most teachers, in real life, tutor struggling students on the side. Occasionally, they make some money from it. I was wondering if professors could offer students with less than average house points, or negative, to tutor a student for like, 1/2 a galleon, or whatever price I don't care. I think it could add to the experience of actually being at a school of magic.

If you have any thoughts, feel free to comment as you see fit.

That sounds like an interesting idea. Perhaps if the teachers are willing that could work if a system for it were to be implemented. Players who feel they would benefit from a tutor could privately apply and be contacted by a tutor assigned to them if available; they could then make arrangements to meet at a Study Hall (or another comfortable location) for a tutoring session.

Anyone who is not a professor is allowed to open their own 'store' or business that tutors people.  The only reason we would have an issue is if this became too popular of a thing that literally ONLY taught the spells and none of the other things.  ATM there hasn't been any issues.

Fair point. In my head I only saw it working if the applicants meet certain criteria, which would be inspired by certain restrictions so they can't abuse the system. But hey, if everything's fine with students and a tutoring business could be set up, then it's all good to me.
