Economy Rework !

So guys, here is the deal.

 

We are working on changing the way people earn money, trying to switch it more to Harry Potter related stuff, versus just mining and earning money.  So, we are going to be slowly phasing out Admin Shops, in hopes that people will switch to trading more & earning money through killing toadstools/puffskeins And what not.  With this change, a lot of the current price of things will end up dropping, and we will be fiddling with it back and forth.  So for now, I will be closing the admin shops starting this wednesday (The 23rd) and removing the plugin hyperconomy (Which has a lot of bugs in it anyway).

 

We will be cutting the prices of shops by up to 50% and brooms & other very expensive items may become cheaper.  Hopefully with this change, people who own shops will find that trading items might actually be valuable.

 

 

But what about some stuff users don't easily get?

 

We will be making it so that anything that is needed to be purchases may be purchasable in a smaller admin shop that is created by us.  But this change is to try and make it so that all those people's who currently have shops will have something to do.  So Anyone who has shops, you have a couple days to kind of stock up on your supplies or open a new shop.

 

But we barely even earn enough from puffskeins

 

We will be making the puffskein killing spell more public as well as balancing out the earned amount.  Additionally we will be adding quests with rewards of galleons & making it easier to earn galleons.

 

 

Any questions/concerns, please post below, we will try and address everything, but remember, this was voted on by a majority of staff, so hopefully it will be a transition that in the future you will see positively, although quite a few of you may disagree now.  We will not do anything to outright destroy your ability to earn.  We want to make all things attainable for new users, but also make it so long time users have the ability to still have stuff to spend on.

 

(Also a side note: all brooms have been made a little speedier in an attempt to make brooms more viable for quidditch & less a factor of the MOST expensive broom, although i will say that i have no changed heights.)

 

Additionally, we will soon be releasing even more mobs in the forbidden forest, and possibly trying to add more easy of access to getting around soon.  Hint hint hint.

So when you remove hyperconomy, mining wold will be useless unless your are looking for blocks for your house in towny or building block for your shop in main world? :I

It won't be useless because there will be people who will make shops to buy and sell stuff from mining world.  This is supposed to be an oppurtunity for them to have a legit shop like that.
