New Player Message

Currently the server's 'new player message' is. "<player> has joined the server for the first time!"
I was thinking, since this is a roleplay server. Maybe we should have a more fitting message.

My suggestion is we have a message saying something like "<player> just received their Hogwarts Letter!"

- It automatically puts the new player in a roleplay position where they get to start their Harry Potter experience, and personally. I think it sounds cooler. :3

 

It's just a suggestion so I would like to hear your thoughts on it, what are the bad and good points of this?

It seems harmless enough, I don't see why it couldn't be done, although it's not really up to me, so. :P Good suggestion! :)

Yeah, this would be cool! Like, for example, I'm gong to use my MC username as an example, it would say:

 

"pottergirl418 just received their Hogwarts Letter!"

 

I think that this would be a good idea

Very cool idea.  :) It would definitely drop the user right into The Harry Potter experience

Nice idea :)
Maybe we could also make it so the message was sent when they had taken the quiz? Right now everyone yells "Welcome!" while they can't be heard xD
