I own Alico Emporium, across the street from Sebass1227's shop. For months I have seen nothing but an unused farm and storage space where they have bought a shop. They aren't selling anything and honestly it's just ugly. I'd personally like to see nice use of shops and actual care for them.

I think this shop breaks the following two rules for shops:

Ugly Buildings

Don't ruin the inside of your building. Things that count as violating this rule are: just placing random blocks everywhere, using blocks that aren't used anywhere else in the area you bought your shop in, making your building one giant swimming pool, etc. If you do this, all of the offending blocks will be removed and you will get a warning.

Building Usage

You have to use your building. If we sell you a building and you just let it sit there and rot, why do you have it in the first place? After you buy a property, you must build in it within 2 months (Exceptions would be that you're MIA, and have told us that on the forums). If you do not, the building will be taken and put up for sale once more.

I second this. In my opinion, if you want to farm, go to Survival or Towny, farms are ugly typically and not suitable for a nice apartment.

I also second (or third?) this. Farming is done is towny or survival. Shops in diagon are supposed to be 'shops' or at least appealing to new players.

I also second (Agh Halp fourth?) this. My shop is right next to Clove's, so I do get tired of seeing this... farm... BUT the second picture is of the top level of his shop, and I believe there is a trap door blocking it, so if you are being a normal customer who does not go up to the part of the shop that is supposed to be private, you would never see the storage area. (AKA if you are not a snoopy shopper, in my words, you will never see the storage area.) I think the storage area is totally fine, but yes, the main floor is very ugly.

It's true that he shouldn't have all that on the main floor of his building. However, if he has stuff like that in a different floor that is blocked off or not part of the main shop area, it's fine. Also, he isn't breaking that second rule. The second rule only says that you have to put things in your building within 2 months of buying it. You don't have to build in it or change it ever 2 months, you just have to have something in it within the first 2.
