So as a lot of you know, when playing Quidditch, you drop the Quaffle after a certain amount of time. Well, my suggestion is that this time be extended, depending on your broom level. For example, Allen (who is a broom level 1) collects the quaffle, and carries it for the default 3 (or so) seconds. Alice (a broom level 10) collects and carries the quaffle for 4 seconds.
To put it simply, every 10 broom levels gain you an extra second to carry the quaffle. Here's a mini table thing to explain it. c:
Levels 1-9 : 3 seconds
Levels 10-19 : 4 seconds
Levels 20-29 : 5 seconds
Levels 30-39 : 6 seconds
Levels 40-49 : 7 seconds
And so on.
This would encourage players to level up their broom exp, instead of leaving it at a level suitable for their broom. It may also have a canon representation, considering Quidditch players such as Katie Bell held the quaffle longer than newer players, such as Ginny.
(It may also pay off to increase the range for stealing the quaffle, as it is currently harder in-game than it seems in the movies c: (going off visual representations.))

Eh, I get where you're going with this but I'm not a fan of this idea. The time limit placed on quaffle possession is a feature that was primarily implemented to encourage chasers to pass the quaffle, making use of the multiple chasers on a team. Players working together, sharing possession of the quaffle, as a unit, to score - that's how it should be done.
When chasers could hold the quaffle for longer it would mean the player to get the quaffle would be the one to score, unless, in the unlikely event a chaser should miss their toss. The time limit decreases those odds very effectively, which works well to balance the game out. Unless players can fly fast enough, at the right angle and toss accurately, they can not keep consistent possession and score straight from that. It takes a certain amount of training to do that, and only few players can because of that.
If players with a higher broom level are able to hold onto the quaffle for longer then what we'll frequently see is many players with higher levels flying faster brooms and then faster flyers, able to reach the hoops faster, being able to hold it for longer, which basically, gives them a huge advantage. If we have an indiscriminate time limit for all players, it'll keep the game balanced as appropriately as it should be. While I do understand the roleplay aspect of this suggestion, I think the only difference made should be based on practical speed and skills the players directly possess and no other factors to change the outcomes and possibilities.
I feel, if this happens, we'll go back to monotonous games consisting of: players gets quaffle - player scores, players gets quaffle - player scores, and again and again and again, and I really don't think that's best.
In a nutshell, I just don't think this idea will balance the game out very well, and the lesser skilled, lower leveled and slower players will really feel the effects.

The reason you drop the quaffle is to encourage passing. The issue is that before we had chasers with super fast brooms that would get the quaffle and essentially make it impossible for other players to even have a chance to play quidditch because they would grab the quaffle and have it for so long they could score off it. So in actuality, you saying them leveling up brooms = more time is the opposite of what is helpful because this would make it so that those with higher broom skill and faster brooms, will once again make it impossible for anyone else to play. esp since you can still score from half court on a fast broom if you know how to score correctly (I have done it myself). For this reason I disagree with this, I think quidditch should be about teamwork and skill not who has the fastest broom.

If anything, I could see the reverse being true, low(5 and below) level players being able to hang onto the Quaffle slightly longer to make up for the fact they can barely fly. I think someone able to fly perfectly AND hold onto the Quaffle longer is pretty broken and will definitely unbalance the game.

@Pandette that makes sense, although I would like something done about the range for stealing? It can be pretty annoying when you're practically inside the players and still cannot steal.
May also encourage passing if this were to be implemented c:
I thought i expanded that to be bigger, but I can try again. It might be that its still a player hits player event which means its triggers by a minecraft hit player event. I will look into it again.
