(I would like to start by saying I'm sorry if this topic has been addressed, I was unable to find it)

Farming is an essential part of one's stay at Hogwarts; it helps to train spells, boosts a player's financial situation, grants experience needed to graduate, and most importantly, builds character :D So why would someone only want to farm one monster?

The reason this question is posed is because players are allowed to set 3 homes (not a bad number). The issue with this, however, is that one is often reserved for the Great Hall, and a second for one's Common Room. This leaves only one spot open to farm our little hearts out.

A simple solution to this would be a warp to the great hall (one warps using the phone booth (twice) anyway, so the argument of cannon-ness is weakened). The only foreseeable problem I know of is new players skipping out on the RP experience, but (I could be wrong) that seems fairly easy to limit.

To summarize:
Pros: new players unfamiliar with the home mechanic are less likely to miss guides (and then Spam HelpOp) - an extra home for a vast majority players (allowing for a more diverse farming repitoire, or faster access to an apartment or difficult to reach class) - no more long walks of shame to the phonebooth

Cons: perhaps a newcomer could use this to limit their roleplay experience, but this seems rather easy to avoid (although I'm unaware of what that would entail)

Anyway, thanks for listening, and I hope you have a fantabulous day :)

Although I do support this suggestion, I don't necessarily support it for the farming purpose. Whilst a warp to the Great Hall is a good idea, I think players should be responsible for finding their own way to farming places. Not like I can do anything about it, but it seems pretty OP to just teleport their whenever. Atleast take the time to fly or walk there, and earn the right to farm there.

(Not speaking to anyone in particular, just stating my opinion.)

Portkeys will become more of a thing soon and there will be portkeys to warp people to a location, however, they won't be super cheap, but they will be there.  Beyond that, brooms / secret passages are usually helpful.

So just to clarify ( @Pandette ) is that a definite no on the new warp?

I suggest taking away the warp to your common room, common rooms usually aren't that far to get to from great hall and even if they are they have easy paths to remember. That would give you another home for farming or whatever.

Get a fast broom and you can be at places in 10 seconds. Well at least the nearest out doors spot to it.
