Do you roleplay/speak in character?

I'm just wondering how many people get into character on this server. I know for some they just are themselves instead of forming a character, but I think more people like to create a character for themselves. My sister and I talk about our character's personalities a lot and we tend to speak in character in local/in classes. We even go so far as to assign personalities to other players and talk about how'd they interact. >u>;; 

 

So basically, do you speak in character? If so, how often and under what conditions? Is your character so much like you that you're constantly 'in character'?

AND YOU KNOW WHAT WHILE YOU'RE HERE, IF YOU DO HAVE A CHARACTER, WHAT ARE THEY LIKE? Do you have a backstory? A personality? Their goals and aspirations? In character friends/enemies? 

I kinda am me but also a made up me kinda, if you got that then high five:D

I don't really speak in character (although I am very similar) but I do have an idea of who the real River Marshall is.


He's actually a rather sweet guy with his friends, and in general with most small encounters, however, his genuine trust is hard to gain and nearly impossible to regain. His family was pureblood, but he's come to realize blood doesn't dictate character or magical ability despite his upbringing.
He wants to be a DADA professor and a beater for his house team.
He's a bit of a jerk if he dislikes you but it takes some doing to truly get on his bad side.
He's not easily offended but is very defensive of people and things he cares about

     Simply put, my character is basically myself, but a bit more sophisticated. At most, I'll only act sophisticated when it comes to helping underclassmen. I try to be assertive at times, especially when teaching, but I also try to emit a type of aura that announces:

 

"Hey, if you respect me, I'll respect you."

     

     Seph Irius Brown is a character that aspires to be the best. Though, not one of those hardcore people that desires being superior at all costs, but one that keeps fun and enjoyment in mind. He's an easygoing Professor, one that gives second chances, however when his patience is tested there will definitely be consequences. When he is frustrated, he asserts authority through facts and persuasion. On the other hand, he's easy to get along with, and will often solve issues in the pacifist route. Although he does judge people based on how they act and speak, Seph still keeps an open mind and attempts to cooperate nonetheless.

Uh..... I normally just use my real life for Lily. (Except for the part in my life with my whole dad, step dad, mom, and mom's boyfriend and being part abused and ignored half my life thing). Everything else, I just use for my RP Character, like my looks, my personality, and the way my mind works.

Mine is similar to Lily.  My mannerisms, appearance, and personality are similar to real life.  Some things, such as mental and emotional issues, I try to leave behind as soon as I click on Minecraft.  Those are not things I want to bother others with.

Meh. My character is not at all similar to my inside person. However, it is really similar to my school persona, which is kinda cold and harsh, because I don't want others to bother me, but with friends, I tend to thaw a little more.
