The Prewett Family: A History
The name Prewett is Welsh, consisting of Prou (brave) and –et (small). It could be used as a name for someone who is small, though valiant.
The Prewetts are a pureblood wizarding family and are one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight. These twenty-eight families are known as English families who are “truly pureblood”. Some other well-known families in the Sacred Twenty-Eight are the Malfoys, Weasleys, Ollivanders, Blacks, and Longbottoms.
The most well-known Prewett was a witch named Molly Prewett (Weasley). She was the wife of Arthur Weasley, and mother of 7 children and 12 grandchildren. Molly Weasley is well known for being a member of the revived Order of the Phoenix and fought in the final battle of the Second Wizarding War. She fought not only to protect her family and friends, but also stood for the rights of all wizards and witches, even those who were not born into pureblood wizarding families. Molly Weasely was a powerful exemplar of the Prewett family’s beliefs: all witches and wizards are created equally, despite the history behind their birth.
It is also important to note that the Prewetts are known as very powerful, and have been accepted into elite pureblood circles. There are hints that not all Prewetts are “blood trators” (purebloods who marry out of the pureblood circle), and some have married into some of the darker families, such as the Blacks.

The “Official” Prewett Family Tree
Mr. (name unknown) Prewett had a brother named Ignatius Prewett.
Ignatius married Lucretia Black, daughter of Arcturus and Melania Black.
Mr. and Mrs. (names unknown) Prewett had three children: Molly, Gideon, and Fabian.
Molly married Arthur Weasley, and had 7 children: William, Charles, Percy, Fred, George, Ron, and Ginerva.
Gideon and Fabian were murdered in 1981 by Lord Voldemort.

NOTE: Because it is unknown whether Molly's brothers Gideon and Fabian, as well as her Uncle Ignatius had children, it is safe to assume that the Prewett line ended.

The Prewetts of KnockturnMC
The Prewett family has predominantly been made up of Gryffindors. There are a handful of Hufflepuffs and Slytherins, and only two Prewetts in the Ravenclaw house.

- Rose Schoenheit: Born on August 3rd. At a young age her parents died and she was orphaned. She spent a few years in Fance's Orphanage in Diagon Alley before being adopted by Sam and Kitteh Starling during her 2nd year at Hogwarts. She is currently a 5th year Ravenclaw. She is also married to Draco Shoenheit and has a son named Luke.
