So, maybe we could have Rictusempra move up to Tier 2, so it's harder for Tier 1s to cast, which will save a few noobs some points, and keep people from being annoyed. I do remember Rictusempra being in the DADA lessons for Year 1, but still has new people being able to cast it.

So you mean it would backfire on a Tier 1 if they tried to cast it? Or you mean because most tier 1's only use tier 1 spells they won't use Rictus? I like the idea I'm just a bit too stupid to comprehend it.

I agree, I see Rictusempra fitting better as tier 2 than tier 1.
Or if it was a tougher spell to cast(For tier1's) that would really save newbs points.. As I see when a spell is hard to cast, newbies don't want to cast it. This can 1. Make it not so annoying and 2. Save house points.

Well, I agree too, but T1 ppl can also cast T2 spells. So maby it should be a T3 spell, which stays canon and harder for nubs to cast it.

But tier one spells even backfire a bit for noobs, so tier 2 spells will backfire a lot, making it tier 3 is a little too high in my opinion.
