Family Gifts

So as you know we all have gifts that make us better a type of spell, I was wondering if it was possible to get other gifts. 

 

In the first harry potter movie Harry is able to ride a nimbus 2000 in his first game, I was wondering if something like broom level could be a family gift.

This sounds like a great idea! It would make sense for role play purposes for players to be gifted at more than just spell types. Some ones I'd like to see are:

Flying- Gains Broom XP faster if gifted and slower if cursed.

Potions- Brews faster if gifted and slower if cursed.

Overall I love this idea and hope it gets implemented. :D

Also, as for gifts and curses, I think it should be slightly random and not just everyone from the same family having the same gifts and curses. Like, a certain percentage change for each gift and curse unique to that family and it's different for every family? That would be pretty cool.

For once kelsey seems to have a pretty decent idea.  I agree just being based on families is kind of sucky, but perhaps we can have each person have a varying degree of how that gift effects them.  I will see how i can implement this fairly.

*imagines that working HARD on your curse will "nullify it" so it fades away*

 

e.g.

100k casts removes the backfire curse

20 nonverbals removes nonverbal curse

10 nonverbals in said "curse" removes it.

 

or even "Weak, medium, Strong" curse/gift and that would be the way to influence it.

I would assume that if you had a weak curse you would also have a weak gift? That would be only fair.
