I just wanted to let you all know why these features haven't been released yet.
There are two things majorly blocking us to release these features:
Spellbook Rework
Although it will not be apparent to users, spell book has been modified so that the spells are more easily manipulated for other spells. This manipulation will add the following possibilities:
- Spell info to be collected
- Spell targets to be REQUIRED
- Fake spells to be created.
Why has this been modified?
The answer is simple yet complex, One of the key features I have wanted to add, is informing spells. These spells will info the caster of certain information from spells:
- How long a spell will continue
- Who the spell is targetting
- Other key information such as floo fireplace names.
These will make the world more dynamic as you can get more information about things around you. Additionally, making sure that we know exactly WHO is being targetted will make it so it will be easier to remove spells. Previously setting a target was not required, it was based on the creator of the spell. Now all spells will require targets to be assigned.
Why is it taking so long?
Our server has over 200 spells. Every single spell needs to be modified for the new format. That means many hours on behalf of both Pandetta & other spell devs who have created their own spellpage.
Better Shops Modification
Another part of the issue with wand creation is that better shops currently doesn't have a sell feature.
Why is this important?
In order for players to sell their custom wands, they are going to have to have a way in which they can sell their wares.
Why is this taking so long?
- Bettershops is not our plugin & the rework of it means we need to understand the original code
- Bettershop's code is not to standards of code. Alot of it has to be rewritten so it is actually readable.
- Many parts are not functioning and the reason for their lack of function isn't yet clear.
Again, sorry for the delay, we really are trying to get these features out to you. Just understand that when they do come out to all of you, there will be a bigger release & it will improve the server drastically. We are working as fast as we can.
