So you wanna learn to spell spam huh? Well not to worry, this guide me and @Bella Scarlet made is here to well, guide you! :D

So what is spell spamming?
Spell spamming is simply casting a spell repeatedly in quick succession. It's done for multiple purposes, perhaps to advance to the next Tier, to become able to cast a spell Nonverbally, to become stronger with a spell, or simply because you're bored.

So how do you do it?
We will explain in this guide how to spell spam in several simple steps for you.

Find what spell you want to spam and become familiar with it.

This may seem arbitrary, but it can be hard to pick which spell you want to spam. My suggestion is to tailor it towards your interests. If exploration and adventure is your calling, try Ascendio, Spongify, or Apparate if you have a license. If dueling is your specialty, deadly spells like Bombarda, Baubillious, or Vicis Vulpes might be suitable. Or if you just want to hunt your cute little Puffskeins and Toadstools, then spells like Venditox, Prosiliox, and Arania Exumai could be desirable for you.

The next part is becoming familiar with the spell, both the incantation, and the movements. You will have a hard time spell spamming if you need to constantly look back on your little Notepad document for the movements to Episkey every time you cast it.

Find a suitable spot to spell spam.

There is a time and place for everything, and this of course includes spell spamming. A spot secluded from other people is suitable as you don't want to disturb someone with your spell spamming. Similarly, choose a spot where your spells won't hurt someone by accident, the last thing you want is for your Rictusempra you're training to ricochet and smack a passing student. It should also be noted that some spells cannot be used in most places and only in PvP zones. Common PvP zones include Greenuouse Four, the dungeons beyond Potions, and the Forbidden Forest.

Pro tip:
The Forbidden Forest is an awesome spot to spell spam as it's out of the way, not that populated(and big enough you can go far away if you're bothering someone) and it's a PvP zone so you can practice your Incendio and Confringo.

Start spamming and find your rhythm.

Now is the time, you're prepped and ready, so get started, cast your spell, and cast it again, and again, and there you go! You are now spell spamming! An important thing to remember is to find your own pace. Everyone is different, some people have stronger/weaker wrists, some have more dexterous fingers, find a pace that is quick, but not too quick.

Tips and tricks!

So that's all the basics! This section of the guide will be devoted to tips to make your spell spamming easier.

Type once, tap twice!

Take my word for it, you will get very annoyed if you need to type out Expelliarmus every time you cast. Instead, open your chat(T by default), and hit your up arrow to go back to your last message, which in this case will be your incantation. It's important to note that if you stop to chat in Global or something you will need to tap up multiple times to get to the incantation. Everyone makes the mistake once of accidentally repeating a message in Global doing this, so be careful!

Find a control layout that works for you.

Everyone is different, so layouts for controls may vary. If spell spamming, I recommend having your open chat key set to your left arrow or another key nearby, so you don't have to go very far to open chat, go up, enter, and cast.

Find your sensitivity! (submitted by @Just_MagiKKal)
Along with controls, since you'll be moving your wrist frequently, finding a good sensitivity will help you with your casting speed and endurance.
Should I Stay or Should I Go?

This part is important if you want to maximize efficiency but also have your wrists functional for school the next morning. If your wrist starts to hurt, it's a sign you're getting tired and should be careful with how much more you do, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is no treat. On the other hand, if you're still good to go, don't give up, stay determined! It's good to take a break every so often, but don't give up just because you Jab instead of Swish Left, it happens to everyone!

Responsibilities > Spell spamming

Remember when you're spell spamming to not put off your responsibilities to do it, irl or in-game. Spell spamming should be what you do if you don't have any responsibilities. Guiding newbies, teaching classes, doing that science project worth 30% of your mark, all of that should come before spell spamming. On the same note, you don't need to be entirely antisocial when spell spamming either! Sure stopping to chat may make it take longer, but your Incendio isn't going anywhere, remember to save some time for your friends too. :)

Two birds with one stone

If straight spell spamming isn't your fancy, a number of spells you can use to do something else and still spam. Does this take longer? Certainly, but it makes it less tedious and in some cases is a dual benefit. Examples of this include using attack spells to hunt mobs, having Ascendio adventures around the rooftops of the school, or maybe set yourself up an obstacle course around the school to practice Apparate.

Have a soundtrack! (Submitted by @Bella Scsrlet)

If you're like me, you tire of hearing constantly, "Click click boom!" repeatedly and quickly find spell spamming quite tedious. If you put on some music or listen to a video as you spam, it will make it less tedious. What's more, a song with a nice beat can help you find a nice rhythm, which as mentioned above, is important!

And that's it! I hope you all enjoyed this guide and find it useful! If anyone has some tips they want to add, feel free to comment below and I'll edit them in and even give you credit for it! :D

Thanks for reading!

Also, a good idea when you're on a laptop without a mouse but you have a touchpad that actually works (cough get an acer if you want a laptop cough) is to rebind your keys. I set mine to H and J, so I have one thumb on the touchpad and two fingers on the keys and it works great (on the acer laptop).

And if you keep not going far enough to get the movement right: raise your sensitivity in the Minecraft settings! On laptops I go for between 140% and full sensitivity (labeled HYPERSPEED by Mojang :P ) and when I have a mouse I usually stick at around 115%.

The key rebinding would fall under find the control layout that works for you, but the sensitivity I will add. :)
