So earlier today I was doing some thinking as I was doing my chores. The castle is so big and intricate, and exploring it all takes a long time and a lot of patience. Unfortunately, not many people feel tempted to explore over going to class, or spell spamming, or hunting mobs for money. So I thought of something, what if someone had an incentive to explore? Introducing... Find the Golden Dragon Egg!
This would be a mini-game of sorts that is always running. What it does is pick a random spot around the castle to hide a Dragon Egg that is retextured to be golden just like the egg Harry collects in the Goblet of Fire. Upon finding this egg, if a player punches it, it drops 10(subject to change) Galleons, lets out a bloodcurdling screech just like the Goblet of Fire egg, and moves to a different location to be found by someone else. The idea behind this is for players to go around trying to find this egg in search of fame and fortune! With this, players would feel more compelled to explore, and have a way to make money even if hunting mob or dueling isn't their fancy.
Potential Concerns:
What if the egg goes like on the roof or something?
Better get a broom! Getting high up eggs could be an incentive to practice flying your dusty Bluebottle.
What if the egg is like 200 blocks in the air?
Simply make it so it needs to be on top of something.
What if it goes under the map?
Make it so it can't go below a certain Y level.
What if it goes on top of the Great Hall, you can't fly inside right?
That's right, but that would be all the reason to practice Ascendio or Apparate!
I hope you all like this idea and I hope this gets added to make exploring more appealing again!
