Hello everyone! My name is Shadow. I'd like to bring up a suggestion that I thought of. Currently, I think duels are somewhat unorganized, and people can interfere and such. It's really hard to do properly. That's why I suggest a new plugin with different commands usable to duel properly.

How to start a duel:

/duel playername Stun/Injure/Fatal/Death

The different options are as followed

Stun: First person to successfully slow/stun the other player wins

Injure: First person to deal damage to the other player wins

Fatal: First person to get the opponent under 2 hearts wins

Death: First person to kill the other person wins

When you do the command, the player you want to duel must be in a radius of around 35 blocks or less.

The other player will see this in chat:

Shadow Blishen has challenged you to a Stunning duel. Accept with /duel accept or decline with /duel decline. Not answering in 60 seconds will cancel the request.

Once the duel has started, both players will have a 3 minute time limit to accomplish the goal. If no one wins, then it will just end. This also protects both players from effects except each others spells, so people watching can't cast spells and harm them. The winner will also gain a small amount of experience.

That's my idea!

Great idea! At the moment duels are very unorganized. I recommend also getting experience for winning a duel. It will entice players to use the plugin and to practice their dueling at the same time. Nice Job Shadow!  ;)

Totally NOT on my to-do list.... does no one read my to-do list at all?

@Pandette Sorry! I didn't see it until now. Hopefully this gave you some ideas if you weren't almost done.

@iDoom Good idea!

accepting and pinning for reference to possible 'modes' of dueling when the actual dueling plugin is created, even if it will not be exactly the same

It would probably be good to make it so if it's a death match you keep your inventory, because ATM I only do fatal matches because I don't wanna loose my inventory. Maybe also have people keep there experience for towny/mining world enchantments.

@TechDweebGaming I really think you should learn about plugin basics before suggesting how stuff should work in a plugin.  Additionally, a new dev is looking into this, hence why it is in accepted status.
