Hello Knockturn, I want to remind everyone that casting rictusempra in the Great Hall / Entrance Hall is NOT allowed. I've seen many people do this before. When they cast on someone, they give me the excuse saying "I had his/her permission"

We don't care if you had their permission to cast on them, what happens if you miss and cast on someone else? Points would be taken is what happens. It just seems easier to not cast that spell at all in the Great Hall. In fact, it was said that no spells should be casted in the Great Hall. But this topic is just focusing on the fact of Rictusempra in the Great Hall.

To sum it up: DO NOT CAST RICUTSEMPRA IN THE GREAT HALL

Side note: Don't kill people on the carpets with Flipendo(I think it was called that). People are often AFK waiting for the guide to leave to classes etc. Even if you didn't mean to hurt then you just wanted to make yourself jump it's not nice to others even if it does not kill them

Flipendo was renamed to Spongify (I don't know why they did that -.-)

But yea, don't cast Spongify on the carpet unless you're casting Molliare with it

Another side note :

As Poinkie said, casting at all shouldn't be done in the Great Hall or the Entrance Hall. It is also a public place so Global rules do apply and spell-spamming is not permitted.

Just to inform :

Reporting Roleplay

Only report serious, actual offenses in the Offenses section of the forums. Reporting things like flying inside, being casted on, or drunkenness in Hogwarts is very unnecessary and wastes staff's time. These are roleplay offenses, and people can get away with things in roleplay. It's part of the experience.

However, if you are seen casting on another student without permission, there will be a consequence.

Even if you're staff, you will still be punished so just don't do it and save us the trouble. <3

They did it because the canon name for "Spongify" was released (Molliare) :3
