Hi Everyone,

I just thought I would put some information out that soon we will have a new role.  This role will be called "WelcomeW" The W standing for witch or wizard.

Basically this role is going to state that you are a non-staff member that has the ability to help new players.  It will be assigned to anyone who can prove they know the following:

All the common rooms

Basics about diagon

How to cast spells

How to get to class rooms

How to earn money

How to use towny

How to use skyblocks

Answer every question on the FAQ at the drop of a hat

These people will be colored and if you are on the WelcomeW list, you will be expected to help new players.

Reminder, it is a NON-STAFF role and basically says you're there to help any new player that needs help.

Basically, we are separating the staff from the helping part, and making a role that means you can help people without having to have special perms.

Moderators will no longer be responsible for helping new users.

When applications open for it, I will make a new post, and will require less votes than others.  Age will also not be a factor in applications.  It is entirely based on your knowledge of the server.

Pandette.

which means that mods will be required to do something besides help newbies or perhaps the role moderator will be dropped or reduced.

Yeah, I kinda figured that, but it's handy we'll be able to focus more on the other aspects of the job. :)

If I'm currently working on my moderator application, will it still be acceptable to say how I'm willing to help new people?

Sorry this is so late, but I think that's still a good quality to have for a staff member, even if it isn't necessarily a duty of the position you're applying for
